The unstable equity market is making property look decidedly attractive for keen investors. It looks like history might be repeating itself. 6 years ago, investors were jittery at the market’s volatility and turned to property for security. There is speculation from investor commentators that the buy-to-let option will once again seem as attractive in the current climate.
Property prices are on the increase and looks to continue to provide a higher return than the FTSE All-Share index. The appeal also stems from the influx of first time buyers entering the property market as well as house shortages.
However, house prices have increased faster than rents despite the recent pick-up in rents. |
